03 is never a good year for bordeaux, 03 is too hot most of the wines have no ageing potential and is good to drink early due to their sweetness, fruity character and the lack of tannin deduct their ageing portential. 00 and 05 are both outstanding years. 05 is specially good for margaux. u cant say 04 is a excellent vintage, it can be say as a classic vintage. personally would suggest to buy 04 cause the it is worth of money for the recent vintages.
